Air Cards

Each of our air cards, which is essentially a cell phone built into a PCMCIA card, allows you broadband access to the Internet via your ISP. When used with our high-speed mobile routers, these cards can be used to to allow multiple users to connect to the web.

Verizon Wireless V640

The smaller and lighter V640 ExpressCard operates on the Verizon Wireless broadband network and is capable of speed bursts of up to 2.0Mbps. With VZAccess Manager you can increase your productivity by easily managing your remote access connections and business applications. The V640 ExpressCard features a multi-color LED service status indicator for data throughput monitoring and a flip-up antenna to enhance RF performance while on the go.

Audiovox PC5220

With real-world speeds up to 470Kbps, the Audiovox PC5220 cellular data card is an attractive alternative to Wi-Fi hotspots and even DSL or cable modem (why pay two monthly broadband fees?). The high-speed 1xEV-DO service that makes the card hum is available in most major metropolitan areas, and numerous airports -- check the latest coverage map to see if your city is up and running. Elsewhere, things will drop down to 1xRTT data speeds, about twice as fast as 56K dialup, but no competition for broadband. On the plus side, Verizon has excellent national coverage for 1xRTT, so you can go pretty much anywhere with this card without having to pay steep roaming fees.

Kyocera Passport (KPC 650)

The easy-to-use Passport 1xEVDO card, also known as the Kyocera KPC-650, can be installed in minutes and gives laptop users high-speed wireless data access of up to 2.4 Mbps. The Passport not only provides the convenience of mobility but also offers broadband access to corporate applications, email, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) browsers and seamless Short Message Service (SMS) text messaging capability. Additionally, the Passport's dual-band receive diversity and high-performance antenna design allows for improved coverage nationwide and higher data rates.

The Kyocera Passport features an adjustable rotating antenna for maximum signal strength and includes intuitive Passport Navigator software for easy installation and connection management that is compatible with EVDO and CDMA 1x services. The card boasts download speeds of up to 2.4 Mbps in EVDO coverage areas and achieves download speeds with bursts of up to 153 kbps on CDMA 1x connections outside of EVDO coverage.
